English Language (F1- F3)

English Language:

The course focuses on the language skills necessary to cope with the Junior Secondary School English Examination, with extensive practice to help students learn from the past and build up a good foundation. The instructor will focus on the students' strengths and weaknesses, and will follow the school curriculum closely so that students can achieve good results in school.

The program includes the following core language skills:

Reading: Reading training covers a wide range of chapters and topics to enable students to develop the ability to comprehend content quickly and the skills to cope with a wide range of test questions.

Grammar: Grammar is taught in a systematic way and is practiced extensively so that students can become more proficient.

Vocabulary: Practical vocabulary and usage are taught in a thematic format so that students can use the vocabulary they have learned in reading, writing and speaking.

Listening: Listening exercises in a variety of contexts and at different levels of difficulty are used to enhance students' listening skills.

Chinese Language (F1 - F3)

Chinese Language:

The Chinese Language curriculum in secondary schools requires students to be knowledgeable, thoughtful and creative; however, these abilities need to be developed over a long period of time, and it is not enough to rely on familiarizing oneself with the textbooks and practicing the examination questions at the final stage to achieve the desired results. In view of this, we have developed the Junior Secondary Chinese Language Course to enable students to lay a solid foundation in junior secondary school, so that they can be well prepared for school examinations and the future Diploma of Secondary Education (DSE). The program consists of the following three parts:

Appreciation of Famous Writings: As the saying goes, "Reading a thousand volumes of books makes the pen feel like a god", the most effective way to improve writing skills is to read famous writings. This course is a detailed analysis of selected masterpieces from the past, present and abroad. On the one hand, it guides students to learn from famous writers' techniques of layout and formulation, word choice and phrasing, and on the other hand, it cultivates students' ability to read quickly and in depth in order to cope with the increasingly difficult reading questions.

Chinese culture: In recent years, public examinations have included questions on Chinese culture, especially in writing and speaking, in order to test students' cultural cultivation. As cultural cultivation is a long-term process and cannot be achieved overnight, this course is designed to include topics on traditional Chinese ethics, morals, literature and arts at the junior secondary level, so as to give students a head start in taking the public examinations in the future.

Examination Training: The four assessment components of listening, speaking, reading and writing are analyzed, focusing on building up students' ability to summarize key points, solve problems and reason logically, and enhancing the quality of thinking to achieve the "depth, flexibility, creativity and agility" required by the Education Bureau, so as to enable students to be more competent in facing the increasingly varied examination questions.

Junior Mathematics

The course focuses on consolidating students' basic mathematical concepts, and teaches exclusive problem solving and answering skills from the very beginning to the very end, so that students can flexibly cope with different types of problems, speed up their answering speed, and improve their performance in internal exams. The tutor will analyze each student's learning situation and tailor the lessons to his/her level and needs, along with exercises, to help students understand different mathematical concepts and lay a good foundation.
